NCS is playing an instrumental part in the regeneration of Amble, in Northumberland, by creating a new small business village on the harbour.

The project has been drawn up by Northumberland County Council in partnership with Arch, the Northumberland Development Company, Amble Development Trust, Amble Town Council, business representatives and the wider community of Amble.

NCS are building 15 new retail pods, a seafood centre and creating a waterside promenade. We are also building a new home and storage for the community based watersports centre, Coquet Shorebase Trust, at Druridge Bay Country Park, and carrying out associated civil engineering works.

Work has already started on the 31 week scheme.

NCS director, Sean Anderson, said:

“This is a very rewarding project to be working on as it will make a real difference to Amble by helping to create new jobs and attract visitors from afar.”

“As a contract it also demonstrates our breadth of capability as it comprises both our building and civil engineering expertise.”
