Mid-market London developer HUB has today announced the appointment of Damien Sharkey as Development Manager.
Damien will assist in managing HUB’s growing development pipeline of over 1000 homes, which includes schemes in Acton, the Royal Docks, Wembley and The Old Vinyl Factory in Hayes.
An architect by training, Damien’s experience will be used in integrating efficiencies between design and construction teams, ensuring HUB’s high standards of design are maintained in all of its current and future developments.
Reporting to Development Director Steve Sanham, he will focus on using innovative design to create quality homes with a deep rooted sense of community, built specifically for London’s middle income market.
Before joining HUB, Damien was a Partner and Executive Director at the architectural practice Robin Partington & Partners, where he led on various phases of the Merchant Square development in Paddington.
Prior to that, he was at Terry Farrell & Partners where he worked on the Regent’s Place development in Euston, London, and the Nine Elms Masterplan in Battersea.
HUB was incubated by the founders of Squarestone, Tim Barlow and Robert Sloss, in late 2012 with the single minded aim of bringing quality new homes within reach of hard working Londoners.
Current developments include the 360 home Hoola London at the head of the Royal Victoria Docks, Victoria Square in Acton, recently purchased by M&G in one of the UK’s first forward funded PRS developments, Chesterfield House in Wembley and the Boiler House and Material store elements of Cathedral’s Old Vinyl Factory redevelopment.
Damien Sharkey, Development Manager at HUB, said:
“HUB is at the forefront of providing affordable homes, accessible to people from a whole range of careers. It is a pleasure to be working for a company so committed to making living in London more achievable for the burgeoning middle income market.”
Steve Sanham, Development Director at HUB, said:
“HUB focuses on using innovative design to create superb homes that don’t cost the earth. Someone of Damien’s calibre will complement our company ethos perfectly.”
